This is a bit late, so apologies to Dr. Nocco!  Mallika did a phenomenal job at her public defense in July and wrapped up some minor edits on her dissertation in August.  She is now beginning her Smith Conservation Research Fellowship, working under the direct guidance of Prof. Tracy Twine at the University of Minnesota, with co-advising from Chris Kucharik, Christel Kern (USFS) and Mike Fienen (USGS).
