Morgan Robinson
Morgan is an undergraduate assistant in the Kucharik Laboratory, and is currently working on an extension of her Biology 152 project. The goal of this work is to create a user friendly online tool for people to view nitrogen leaching data produced by the Agro-IBIS modeling system.
She is majoring in Economics and Agronomy, with the hopes of researching the environmental consequences of economic policies related to agriculture. She also has a dream of one day starting an agricultural consulting business to help farmers make better financial decisions.
Past experience includes two papers on the Usp33 gene and it’s relation to cardiac regeneration in neonatal mice and an internship with Walleye Trading’s equity management department.
In her free time, Morgan competes for the University of Wisconsin’s Women’s Rowing Team. She loves sunrises in the early morning from the water. Other hobbies include pottery, painting, and hiking. She has a dog at home in Excelsior, Minnesota, and hopes to someday get a dog and cat of her own. She plans to graduate from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in May 2022.
